Groupe Martin Belaysoud: reliable product data for a group founded in 1829
Context
€1.17 billion in revenue, 232 sites and eight specialist brands — from heating and climate engineering (Téréva) to industrial supplies (Mabéo Industries) and premium bathrooms (Grandbains). The group also operates a group-wide product catalogue: KaraK is in production on a catalogue of 640,000 products.
The challenge
Missing or inconsistent attributes across categories, with data spread across manufacturer websites, PDF data sheets and catalogues — and one simple business reality: a B2B e-commerce site can only sell products that its data describes well. Manual completion and correction cannot scale to a catalogue of this size.
Method
Attribute schemas for each product category; agents that find and read manufacturer documents; every written value linked to its source or marked as inferred; and human control points on every batch. The data returns to the group's catalogue ready for its sales channels.
Today
Tens of thousands of products are processed every year through a subscription. The group's data teams have validated accurate extraction of technical attributes — classes, standards and finishes — consistency across sources, the ability to read PDF data sheets, and full traceability, with every value linked to its source.
