KaraK feeds Akeneo with proven data

Akeneo manages your product records; KaraK fills them. The integration is native: your teams choose which attributes to enrich directly in the PIM, agents complete them from manufacturer sources, and every value returns to Akeneo with its source link — in the right format and at the right model or variant level.

INPUT

Your scope, selected in Akeneo

A dedicated channel in your PIM lets your teams select the attributes KaraK may complete, category by category. Everything else remains untouched reference data.

PROCESSING

Traceable enrichment in supervised batches

Agents find and read manufacturer documents, check every value against its source, and your teams validate at control points.

OUTPUT

Values that import correctly first time

Schema validation loops before import, values are written at the right model or variant level, and every value remains linked to its source.

The labels, attribute codes and option codes shown come from an Akeneo schema actually used in production; client identifiers have been omitted.

Start with the real instance

Current documentation is not the PIM installed at the customer

Recent Akeneo versions document attribute generation, translation and reformatting from data and assets held in the PIM. But many production instances are older, customised or constrained to the point that these features cannot be connected properly. You must audit the version and interfaces actually available, rather than reason from the vendor's roadmap.

KaraK requires no AI inside Akeneo: it works upstream, then returns values in the schema accepted by the instance — through an API or file import. The legacy PIM continues to manage its categories, permissions and publications; collection, cross-checking and matching remain outside it.

Enrich an existing PIM without replacing it

Frequently asked questions

Does KaraK replace Akeneo?

No. Akeneo remains your PIM, managing product records, channels and publishing workflows. KaraK is the layer that feeds it complete, proven data — it writes into Akeneo, it does not replace it.

How do we choose which attributes to enrich?

Directly in Akeneo: a dedicated channel lets your teams select, attribute by attribute, what KaraK is allowed to complete. Unselected attributes remain untouched reference data. Your teams control the scope from their usual tool.

How are product models and variants handled?

KaraK uses Akeneo's native structure: shared attributes are written once at product-model level, while specific attributes — size or colour — are written on each variant. This prevents inconsistencies between variants and greatly reduces enrichment costs because most attributes are shared by the model.

What happens if a value does not match the Akeneo schema?

Validation loops before import: an out-of-list value, invalid number format or incorrectly encoded Boolean is returned to the agent with the closest permitted options until it imports cleanly. Valid values go through; an isolated error never blocks an entire batch.

Not using Akeneo? KaraK also delivers through CSV, Excel, JSON, databases or APIs — see the product page.
